LEVI’S x ANDY WARHOL FACTORY Limited Edition Jeans

From the 2021 book “What Artists Wear” by Charlie Porter: “‘Andy wore jeans every day,’ said [former executive editor of Interview magazine] Bob Colacello. (…) ‘Even when Andy was invited to the White House for a state dinner for the Shah of Iran. He wore his jeans under his tuxedo pants.’” Black Levi’s jeans were, according to Porter, Warhol’s first go-to garment when he was starting to develop what later became known as “the Warhol look”—so this piece, a limited-edition, numbered product of the collaboration between Levi’s and the Andy Warhol Foundation, is exceptionally fitting, no pun intended.

We like the understated Warhol details (the pockets, the buttons) but we love the inside-out version of the pair, a not-understated-anymore tribute to some of his most iconic pieces.
