PYER MOSS Cropped Leather Jacket
$700.00
Kerby Jean-Raymond, the designer who’s “changing how we think about fashion and race in America,” according to the New York Times, was just 14 years old and still attending The High School of Fashion Industries in Manhattan when he landed his first apprenticeship—a little more than a decade later he founded his own fashion label, Pyer Moss.
The leather jacket is not “a New York thing” just by style association; its history actually dates back to 1928, when family-owned and still-active company Schott Bros. NYC created the first of what became known as “the motorcycle jacket.” This cropped version from Pyer Moss, “your friends in New York,” is the star of the Pieces of New York collection.
